Dandan Don Bento

f:id:Zophi:20171030203751j:plain With leftover Dandan noodle topping. Odebu fell in love with this noodle ever since he had it in Tokyo. He has been asking me if I can make it.  I made the sauce using tahini, vinegar, soy sauce and doubanjiang(chinese chili paste) topped it on rice with boiled egg and homemade egg rolls.

Meat looks bit too chunky...oh well. Hope Odebu likes it.

Cold Ramen aka. Hiyashi Chuka

f:id:Zophi:20171026172114j:plainBefore we hit the winter and I forget about this lunch completely I need to post this one. Well yeah the noodles are buried and can't been seen, but can you guess what it is?? It's cold ramen! Yeah Hiyashi Chuka! I have managed to make the pork(cha-shu) super tender using our crappy rice cooker!!

Shio Yakisoba Bento

When we lived in Germany we could always pick up a bag of chinese noodles and make sauce yakisoba using the yakisoba seasoning packets I brought from Japan.  It wasn't great, but it was ok. But now that we are out of both the seasoning packets and the cheap ok chinese noodles our lives were turning grey.  There's no decent chinese noodles meant we can't have yakisoba of any kind of noodle whatsoever! That is not a life worth living!!! We had to find some noodle to make us happy fast.

So I gave a regular local supermarket's asian noodles try. It was good! yeah it was ok!

With this, made other kind of yakisoba not the sauce one but it's SHIO, salt yakisoba!

With this one I remember making it simply with sesami seed oil and sea salt. Little bit of pork bits and julienned green onion, I have shio yakisoba! Accompanied with grilled tomatoes and egg rolls.

Our lives are teentsy bit better now
