Minced Meat Cutlet aka. menchi-katsu with sweet soy scrambled eggs

f:id:Zophi:20171108201807j:plain Bento lunch of the day is Menchi katsu with scrambled eggs on rice. My mother for some reason used to call scrambled eggs Charanporan meaning something like irresponsible or lazy. I guess because it's such an easy dish. When I couldn't finish my bowl of rice, she would ask 'do you want me to make some charanporan??'. It is a good egg dish with a hint of sugar and soy sauce.

Dried Curry Bento

f:id:Zophi:20171121215342j:plainWe don't usually shop our meat at a bucher. So I can't really say this with confidense, but I am getting this feeling that danish people don't really eat their meat in various cuts and parts. Or it may only mean Japanese like to enjoy their meat with too much variety.

But I am getting very tired of eating or buying ground meat week after week. I am running out of the ideas how to cook it without the feeling of eating the repeated dish! I guess we'll have to invest in buying a meat slicer so we can slice the meat to japanese likeness, until then we'll have to do with what we can get big chuncks or thick cut.

As for the side this bento has Tamagoyaki, croquette and harumaki egg roll.

Turkish Rice

Turkish Rice Bento. High Sugar, carb and fat I knew this dish would steal odebu's heart. And there was no doubt about it. I have been meaning to make this bento for some time.

It's buried under spaghetti and Tonkatsu, but under all that there is curry pilaf. And on top of all that it's garnished with soft japanese style cooked boiled eggs marinated in sauce with salad. A perfect bento to nurture a odebu to a walrus...

Turkish Rice... this naming always get me confused. What part of Spaghetti Neapolitan and Pork Cutlet or curry pilaf is turkish??? I don't dared to suppose people eat this dish in Turkey.
